3 colors of size 10 crochet thread

MC-head, antenna, hands

CC1-suit

CC2-shoes

Size 7 (1.65 mm) crochet hook

Stuffing

Scissors

Sewing Needle

Seed Beads (optional)

Puffy Paint (optional)

*All of pattern is worked right side out. Use any colors you like. Or, make it in ww yarn, with a size F hook. It’s your alien! Gauge is not important. DO NOT JOIN AT THE END OF A ROUND!!!*

Head and Body

1.) Ch 2, 5 sc into 2nd ch from hook~5 sc

2.) 2 sc in each sc around~10 sc

3.) *1 sc in 1st st, 2 sc in next st* around~15 sc

4.) *1 sc in 1st 2 st, 2 sc in the next* around~20 sc

5-9.) Sc in each sc around~20 sc

10.) *sc in 1st 2 sts, sc dec over the next 2 sts* around~15 sc

11.) *sc in the 1st st, sc dec over the next 2 sts* around~10 sc
STUFF!!!

12.) *sc dec* around~5 sc

13.) *2 sc in one st* around~10 scSwitch to CC1 here

14.) *sc in 1st st, 2 in the next st* around~15 sc

15.) *sc in the first 2 st, 2 in the next st* around~20 sc

16-23.) sc in each st around~20 sc

24.) *sc in the first 2 sts, sc dec over the next 2 sts* around~15 sc

25.) *sc in the 1st st, sc dec over the next 2 sts* around~10 sc
STUFF!!!

26.) *sc dec* around~5 sc

Sl st in the next st, FO. Weave in the ends.

Antenna (Make 2)

1.) With MC, ch 5.

2.) Sl st into the 2nd ch from hook, and in next 2 ch. 4 dc in last st, working to the underside. Sl st in the next st.

FO, leaving a 3” tail.

Arms (Make 2)

1.) With MC, ch 2, 4 sc into 2nd ch from hook~4 sc

2.) *sc in 1st st, 2 sc in the next~6 sc

3.) sc in each sc around~6 scSwitch to CC1 here

4.) *sc in 1st 2 sts, 2 sc in the next st* around~8 sc

5-7.) sc in each sc around~8 sc

FO, leaving a 4” tail.

Legs (Make 2)

1.) With CC2, ch 2, 6 sc in 2nd ch from hook~6 sc

2.) Sc in each sc around~6 sc

3.) Sc 2 more rounds~6 scChange to CC1 here

4.) sc, sc dec, sc, sc dec~4 sc

5-8) sc around~4 sc.

FO, leaving a 5” tail.

Assembly·

Press arms flat, and sew to body.

Sew legs to bottom of body.

Sew antenna to head.

Embroider eyes, nose and mouth.
*I just used black crochet thread to embroider with. You could use seed beads for eyes, or puffy paint to do all of the facial features.*

What To Do With Your Little Alien

Give him to the little astronaut in your life as he is.

Crochet a chain long enough to go around your neck.

Thread it through the neck of your alien. ALIEN NECKLACE!

Take a key ring, then chain 10. Attach to the alien. ALIEN KEYCHAIN!

Attach a pin to his back. ALIEN PIN!

Make a flying saucer purse to keep him in.

Make him lots of friends, then write a story about them.

Orange Cell Phone Charm

Materials

Small amounts of worsted weight yarn in:
orange
green
black

Size F hook

Stuffing

Tapestry Needle

Scissors
*All of orange is worked right-side out. DO NOT JOIN ROUNDS!!!*
Instructions

ORANGE

Rnd 1) With orange, ch 2. 5 sc in 2nd ch from hook~5 sc

Rnd 2) 2 sc in each sc around~10 sc

Rnds 3-4) sc in each sc around~10 sc

STUFF

Rnd 5) sc dec around~5 scFO, weave in the ends.

LEAF

Row 1) With green, ch 4. Hdc in 2nd ch from hook.

Dc in next, then treble crochet in the last ch. FO, leaving a 4" tail for sewing.

ASSEMBLY~With the 4" tail, sew leaf to top of orange, (see picture for placement, if needed)~With 12" of black yarn, sew on eyes and mouth. With the rest of your yarn, pull up to top of head. Make a loop. As you come down, tie a knot (or 3) at the base of your loop. Pull the rest of the yarn through the top of the head, and out the bottom. Cut yarn.

Materials:

Tiny amount worsted weight yarn

size F hook

yarn needleo

ne of those clip things to clip to belt loop

PATTERN:

1)ch 2, 10 sc in 2nd ch from hook

2)In BLO, sc around

3-5) sc around

6)ss in next st, ch 10, ss in same st

FO, Sew in the ends. Attach clip-thing to loop and you are good to go!
